Update

I guess that I should give an adoption update, even though most have heard our good news. Emma's birthmom's rights were terminated by the judge in court on Tuesday and the adoption will go forward. We are excited, relieved and anxious for the adoption to be finalized. We will meet with the state's adoption specialist on Wednesday to get the process going. There is a hearing set for October, but we are hoping to have everything filed and ready to go before then. Just can't wait for her to officially be named Emma Laraine Brophy. I continue to pray for her birthmom, "L". I hope that some day "L" can get clean and live a healthy and happy life. I really hope that some day she can feel at peace knowing that her daughter is safe and loved.
