Emma's BFF

Emma cannot get enough of her brother. She isn't crawling yet, but when she does, he will probably never know peace again. Here she is in his room watching him play with legos. I was amazed that she didn't put any in her mouth or try to destroy his creations, she just sat next to him and watched. Very cute.

Teeth

Emma had a tough week last week as far as sleep was concerned. I am pretty exhausted, but I am happy to say that the lack of sleep was for a good cause. She now has 2 little teeth coming in. Very cute. I do not have a picture yet because she has been hiding them with her tongue, but they are there. I love and will miss her cute gummy smile though.

Just Makes My Heart Happy

Our computer has been giving me major grief this week, so I haven't been able to blog much or edit pictures. Luckily, Ryan has been off this week from work, so I've been able to steal his lap top. Braxton went to a birthday party today and had a great time. This evening, as I was getting Emma ready for bed and I walked into her bed room and this is what I saw. Braxton and Emma in a very deep conversation. Braxton telling Emma about the birthday party and Emma hanging on his every word. I heard him tell her, "Some day when you're older, you'll get to go to parties too." Braxton is such a great big brother. I think he is always a little confused when people ask him all the time, "So, what do you think of your baby sister?" because in his mind, why would the answer to that question be anything other than that he loves her. I am hoping that this great love and sweetness continues even when she's old enough to start invading his room and touching his stuff. I know, wishful thinking. But it's nice to have a dream.

Bears and Great Friends

On Saturday, we went to the Teddy Bear Stuff 'N Factory (which is the poor man's Build A Bear Workshop, I suppose) at the mall and made teddy bears so Braxton and Emma could have something, years down the road, to remember when Emma came to live with us. Braxton chose these purple bears (for Weber State), we dressed them in baseball hats and little clothes. Very fun and cute that they have the same bear. (except Emma's has pink clothes, of course)

PS: On Friday night, the girls in my neighborhood threw Emma and me a shower. It was so fun. I brought my camera, but didn't take one single picture. I now have regret!!! But I wanted to say, "Thank You" for the fun party and evening. You have all been a great support to me and Ryan and we really appreciate you all. What I have done to be worthy of such great friends, I will never know.

Life Doesn't Get Much Better Than This.....

Braxton and Emma met today. I will never forget what a sweet moment it was when he first saw her. He cannot wait for her to come home, so that he can hold her all the time. He was so cute with her. What a great experience it was to be there with my 2 children. (Still seems weird to say that :)
