Valentine's Super Heroes

I am a horrible blogger, but I won't worry too much about that.  Anyway, yesterday was Valentine's Day.  The day started with heart-shaped french toast and ended with making mini pizzas and eating them by candle light.

I started this school year thinking, this is Braxton's last year and next year I will not go anywhere near the Elementary School, but then I will start over again with Emma in the fall of 2014.  How strange.  The 6th grade year is flying by.  Braxton has an incredible teacher and we are pretty happy with the way things are going.  I don't usually publicly brag about my kids on FB or anything, but my son is pretty smart and creative and awesome.

The 6th graders at our school always have a Valentine's dance.  Each year, the teachers ask the students to write an essay on what the theme of the dance should be.  Then the students from each class vote on which essay and theme they like the best.  Well, guess who wrote the essay that won this year???  Braxton did.  He chose a Super Hero theme.  They had their dance yesterday and it was so fun to see his idea become a reality.  All the kids dressed up in their superhero gear and looked great.  The decorations were so cute.  They all had a great time.  I was so proud of my boy.  It was a great experience for that last elementary school Valentine's party.

Avengers Welcome!!!

Apparently at 6th grade dances, you don't dance, you play with hula hoops instead
