The biggest icon from my childhood passed away today. The Michael Jackson of the 80's holds a special place in my heart. These days, he often shows up on my iPod. Off The Wall and Thriller were two of the first records that I ever owned. I remember staying up late to watch award shows just to catch a glimpse of him. I remember when he sang Billie Jean on the Motown 25th Anniversary show and he did the moonwalk for the first time. We can say a lot of negative things about him as a person, but when you watch the old Jackson Five footage, you can't deny what an incredible talent he had, even at such a young age. What an amazing performer. It's too bad things turned out for him the way they did. This was my favorite picture of Michael Jackson. When we were kids, my friend, Kathleen, had this same picture in a frame on her nightstand. LOL!!!!

Oh my goodness I love that picture! I stayed up way too late last night watching videos on BET (which, on a side note, Justin calls bet not the initials BET) but I could stop...
I mean that I couldn't stop...if I could stop then I wouldn't be so tired today!
